Biotec Pharmacon shall have a recognized international position as a company that develops and manufactures products that prevent or cure diseases caused by impaired immunity or inadequate immune reactions. Biotec Pharmacon shall become a pharmaceutical company specialized on innate immunity products for humans, and shall be an attractive partner for large corporations within pharmacy and biotechnology.
Business Idea
Biotec Pharmacon is an industrial biotechnology company developing, producing and marketing products that prevent or cure immune-related diseases, as well as enzymes with applications within gene based diagnostics and molecular biology research.
Biotec Pharmacon develops new and patented products based on own explorative research, both in-house and in cooperation with domestic and international medical universities and research institutions of high reputation.
Biotec Pharmacon shall develop the company, invest in R&D and pharmaceutical development, and create value for its shareholders through profitable commercialization of its specialized bioactive products in international markets.

- Svein Lien appointed new CEO of Biotec Pharmacon ASAMarch 10,2010Svein Lien has been appointed new CEO of Biotec Pharmacon, following Lars Viksmoen’s decision to resign after 3 years as CEO. Svein Lien will assume the position with effect from 15 March, 2010.
- Biotec Pharmacon presenting re-established platform at BIO-Europe 2010March 09,2010Dr Sven Rohmann presented on behalf of Biotec Pharmacon at BIO-Europe Spring 2010 in Barcelona. The presentation took place at March 9, 12:30, under the AutoImmune/Inflammation Section.
- Testing SBG packaging containers after weak results from oral mucositis study February 22,2010Biotec Pharmacon has received data showing that SBG failed to show superiority over placebo in the phase III study for oral mucositis. Newly available biological activity assays indicate that SBG used in the diabetic ulcer program may have been inactivated as a result of interaction with polyethylene in the product containers. The company plans to carry out accelerated stability studies of SBG with alternative containers.
