The company has over the past 5-6 years completed preclinical and clinical studies with SBG. These studies are based on extensive and basic biomedical research during 15 years. The results from these studies have been very encouraging with respect to medical efficacy and safety profile. On this basis the company has initiated an extensive pharmaceutical development programme with priority given to the use of SBG in cancer treatment and in the treatment of chronic wounds. The company currently undertakes four clinical phase I and phase II trials within these two therapeutic areas, and additional trials are being planned. The company’s strategy is to complete phase II clinical studies and then to increase value by seeking partnerships with other companies, for example pharmaceutical companies that will market the products internationally.
