Svein Mathisen, Chairman.Mr. Mathisen holds a Master of Science in Physics from NTH, Trondheim, Norway. Mr. Mathisen has been a member of the Board since 2007, and was elected Chairman of the Board in 2008. He is the CEO of BioInvent International AB, Lund, Sweden since 1997. Before joining BioInvent Mr. Mathisen held a number of senior positions within the Norsk Hydro Group. Mr. Mathisen is a member of the board of SwedenBio, the biotech industry organisation in Sweden. Number of shares in Biotec Pharmacon held by Mr. Mathisen: 7,000. Number of options: 0.

Ingrid Wiik, Vice Chairman. Ms. Wiik holds a Master of Pharmacy degree from the University of Oslo, a Master of Science degree (Biopharmacy) from University of London and a MBA from the Norwegian School of Management.  She was elected to the Board in 2007, and elected Vice Chairman in 2010.  Ms Wiik retired as President and CEO of Alpharma Inc (NYSE) in June 2006, a position held from January 2000. She has spent more than 30 years in the pharmaceutical industry, both in R&D and general management, and has extensive leadership and international experience. Ms Wiik holds several Board positions: Coloplast (Denmark), Human Care (Sweden), Norske Skog ASA and Statoil ASA. Number of shares in Biotec Pharmacon held by Ms Wiik: 2,000. Number of options: 0.

Ingrid Alfheim, Director.Dr. Alfheim holds a M.Sc. from the Technical University of Norway (NTH) and a Ph.D. from the University of Oslo. Member of the Board since 2007. She is the CEO of the drug development company Bio-Medisinsk Innovasjon AS. She was formerly director of R&D in the diagnostic company Axis-Shield. Dr. Alfheim has been a board member of a number of  biotech start-ups and of several public research institutions. She is member of the board of Diagenic ASA  and of the Norwegian Bioindustry Association. Number of Shares held by Dr. Alfheim: 10,000. Number of options: 0

Gunnar Rørstad, Director. Mr. Rørstad is co-founder and the former CEO of Biotec Pharmacon ASA (1994 – 2006). He holds a Master of Science (biochemistry) from the University of Tromsø, Norway. Mr. Rørstad was elected member of the Board in 2010. He is currently the CEO of Calanus AS, a marine biotechnology company domiciled in Tromsø, Norway. Number of shares in Biotec Pharmacon held indirectly and by close associates: 930,120. Number of options: 0.

Morten Elde, Director, employee representative. Dr. Elde holds a Master in Technology (Siv.Ing) and a Doctor Scientiarum degree in molecular biology from the University of Tromsø. After finishing his doctoral thesis in 1999 he worked two years as a post-doc, mainly at the University of Giessen, Germany. Dr. Elde has been working as a researcher on marine enzymes at Biotec Pharmacon since autumn 2001. Member of the Board since 2007. Number of shares in Biotec Pharmacon held by Dr. Elde: 10,656.
